My first brush with MSR was when I attended a spiritual retreat over a decade ago. The on-site retreats since then proved to be an amazing space to meet and learn from people of all faiths. As the former MSR Representative at Large, Communications, I enjoyed designing the bi-annual newsletter. While I have served in the executive committees of other AOM divisions, I feel more aligned in terms of purpose with MSR. As for scholarship, I presented a paper at the IAMSR review conference, 2022 at Vienna, and am also serving as Associate Editor, JMSR. It is an honor and privilege to be nominated for the leadership track of this division. Born in Zambia, brought up in England and now residing in India, I see myself a global citizen. Drawing on this, if elected, I hope to work on increasing our international reach (over 51% of AOM members are from outside USA). I thank my colleagues for their incredible work in obtaining MSR division status. I believe we can now together join hands to further build upon this solid foundation. Let’s make MSR one of the most popular divisions – the one on everyone’s lips. Pushpendra Priyadarshi
Pushpendra Priyadarshi
My name is Pushpendra Priyadarshi and I am a Professor of Human Resource Management at Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, India. Beside being the Dr. Ishwar Dayal Chair for Futuristic Issues in the Behavioural Sciences at IIM Lucknow, I am also the Convenor of Rekhi Centre of Excellence for the Science of Happiness. Coming from the land of spirituality, I have been actively engaged in teaching, learning and research on mindfulness for the last 8 years. It was the 79th AOM (2019) conference when I first got an opportunity to learn about MSR while presenting my research paper in Boston. But I got to know it more closely in the 83rd AOM conference, got interested, understood its functioning and felt I could contribute meaningfully. Personally, I believe this division has a lot of scope to increase its outreach, engage meaningfully with the learners, researchers and practitioners. Situated in India, I have a great opportunity to serve this division by being the nodal centre for various institutions whose goals align with the goals of MSR. This will facilitate in creating collaborative opportunities among individuals from different underrepresented groups, geographies and division. Representative at Large position for community building and engagement has a pivotal role in attaining the vision of this division. Needless to say, it comes with its own set of challenges and opportunities. I am confident of garnering greater community engagement and generating support to push our limits and achieve new milestones.
SIDDHARTHA SATISH SAXENA from Heriot-Watt University, UK

My engagement as a Fetzer Scholar and active involvement in MSR, including contributions to the Fetzer Committee, has given me a deep understanding of the division's objectives and the broader challenges and opportunities we face in advancing our scholarship and impact. My dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive community within MSR aligns with the division's goal of nurturing spaces for academics and practitioners at all levels. I have been actively involved in the Fetzer scholar group, coordinating with Fetzer scholars to work towards more inclusive growth for the division. I share opportunities, engage with Fetzer scholars, and try to help and support them in various aspects of assisting them with aspects of the Academy of Management, submissions, and promoting multiple aspects of the MSR division. I am also actively helping scholars with various opportunities and mentoring them regarding career goals, areas of research, and what can be done to help them. I have also been actively involved with the Fetzer scholarship committee report preparation and working on the selection for the 2023 Fetzer scholar. Additionally, I was involved in documenting the records for the MSR scholarship committee for 2022 and 2023 essays and working on the research aspects. I bring the aspects of technology diversity and inclusion and try to work on them within spirituality. My PDW submissions for AOM 2023 and my paper for the MSR division are focused on this area and the intersection. Similarly, I am also reviewing and writing papers for the Journal of Management on spirituality on similar lines, trying to increase the depth of how spirituality works in the modern workplace. I believe that my background and experience can significantly enhance our division's efforts to tackle grand challenges and develop tangible social impact from our research. My commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and my efforts to bridge academic study with practical applications position me well to contribute to the MSR Executive Committee's goals. I am enthusiastic about the possibility of serving the MSR community in this capacity and would be honoured to contribute to our division's journey towards achieving its ambitious goals. I am eager to bring my passion for management, spirituality, and religion to the role, and to work collaboratively with the executive team and the membership to further our division's mission.

I (Cheryl Dowie) completed my master’s and PhD from Manchester Business School (MBS) before pursuing my fulltime academic career as Assistant Professor at the University of Aberdeen, UK in 2018. In 2023, I took up my fulltime academic position in the USA at the Marilyn Davies College of Business, University of Houston-Downtown (UHD). My research and teaching interests are primarily in the Management and Organizational Behavior domain. I also study management pedagogy, and have combined such studies with spirituality, which is one of the reasons I am keen to volunteer as RAL for the MSR division. Apart from this, I am eager to bring forth my experience acquired in UK/Europe, wherein I have created valuable connections and met scholars who have enriched my understanding of the academic and scholarly landscape. I look forward to working with the MSR community, and contributing to the sessions/workshops, research colloquium and other initiatives. This experience at MSR will not only contribute to my professional growth as a scholar but also allow me to connect with like-minded members who make insightful and meaningful contributions to the community. Prior to pursuing my career in academia, I worked as a Financial Analyst with Hewlett Packard, and a Transitions Management Consultant with IBM and Accenture. In my spare time, I enjoy playing the piano, reading non-academic books, and going for walks with my dog.
