2024 Election for Careers

DIVISION PDW PROGRAM CHAIR
Term:  1 year (8/15/2024 - 8/14/2025)

Description: The PDW Chair has overall responsibility for the professional development workshops. It is the first elected officer role and leads automatically to the positions of Program Chair, Division Chair- Elect, Division Chair, and Past Division Chair in each successive year. Responsibilities of the PDW Program Chair include (1) soliciting, arranging, selecting, and administering annual workshops to be held immediately before the annual meeting; (2) Encouraging program activities that involve the development of Division members and collaboration with other Divisions, international scholars, and practitioners; (3) Reporting to and coordinating with the Careers Division Program Chair. (4) Performing other duties as requested by and in coordination with the other officers of the Careers Division.

DIVISION REPRESENTATIVE-AT-LARGE
Term:  3 years (8/15/2024 - 8/14/2027)

Description: Representatives-at-Large work on committees that take on different responsibilities to augment both the reputation of the Careers Division and its members' experiences at the annual meeting and beyond. Reps-at-Large may, for example, serve on the Communications committee that manages channels for reaching our members, the Membership committee to grow our membership, the committee that creates opportunities for mentorship between our junior and senior members, etc. The Rep-at-Large role is a great way to become familiar with the activities and people of the Division. There are a total of 9 Representatives at Large, with three being elected each year.
